Creative Development of Major Production

Unfamiliar Ground

As part of Crossroad Arts pilot disability led leadership program The future is us, Sacha Lagaluga will lead the artistic vision of the organisation and will begin a creative development for the creation of a new work.

In 2025, Sacha will work 2 days a week to work closely with Crossroad Arts performers to learn about the stories they would like to tell. Sacha will research, write, experiment and collaborate with Crossroad Arts performers to uncover the creation of a new work.

Typically Crossroad Arts builds site specific work that responds to the stories of our community, including the use of disused shopfronts, walking/moving tours through forgotten arcades and laneways, warehouses and public parks and spaces as stages.

Moving our major works and productions to a two year cycle is in response to 8 months of consultation with our Inclusive Arts Advisory Group, artists and long time performers. In 2025, Crossroad Arts will have a creative development year with rehearsal and presentation in 2026.
